What action are we taking in relation to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak?
COVID19 – Guidelines for Clients
The Retreat, Southwold have carried out full risk-assessments and it is important that clients read and understand what is expected of them when arriving for an appointment. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to a member of staff.
-Please ensure that you book your appointment online, details can be found on our website www.retreat-southwold.co.uk. We will not be accepting walk-in appointments. We will be required to take contact details, including full name, address, telephone number and email address. We will be unable to make a booking without this basic information.
-Clients will be asked to complete an online health questionnaire before arriving at the salon. In the event that you are experiencing any symptoms or believe that you may have been in contact with someone who has symptoms, please do not come to the salon.
-When arriving for your appointment, please try to arrive at the correct time. To keep a 2M distance between clients, we have a reduced indoor waiting area.
-Please arrive for your appointment alone and try not to bring any additional bags or clothing which is not required for your treatment.
-During busy periods, clients may be asked to wait outside.
-Clients will be asked to queue at the entrance to the salon, keeping 2M apart, our receptionist will allow 1 client at a time into the salon. Please respect the 2M distance rule.
-Once in the salon, please head straight to our sanitiser station which is located to the right of the entrance.
-You will notice a 1M high Perspex screen has been installed around the reception desk, our receptionist will check you in and will advise where you should wait for your treatment. During busy times, you may be asked to wait outside.
-We may ask that you wear a face mask during your treatment. Where the therapist is wearing a face shield or where it is possible to have a Perspex screen, a mask will not be required. We are happy to supply a face mask if you don’t have your own or we can provide a fabric face mask at a cost of £2 which can be reused.
-Your therapist will meet you and take you to the treatment area. There will only be one client in each treatment room.
-We will only carry out treatments with government approval and all steps will be taken to minimise contact. Staff are temperature tested daily and all hard surfaces are steam cleaned each evening.
-All towels and changed in between clients and any disposable equipment is disposed of.
-Whilst we are able to offer clients a cold water in a disposable cup, we are unable to offer any other refreshments and clients are asked to bring their own drinks, if required. Clients will be required to take their own rubbish away with them to prevent any contamination.
-All therapists will be provided with PPE and all equipment and treatment areas will be sanitised after each treatment.
-If you test positive for COVID19 within 7 days of visiting The Retreat, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible so that we can take appropriate action.
